My Photo
Name: The Mistress of the Moonlight
Location: Two blocks from a very lovely lake, Western NY, United States

Alas, the Mistress is just someone's grandmother. In September 2007, I had my job downsized. For a while after that, I was working part time; the doctor says I cannot work full time again. Now in May 2008 I am seeking a solid part-time position...lol. Do they make them? I have demyelinating disease NOS, as a result my life has changed; I have been living simply to adjust as gracefully as possible. I enjoy it tremendously! It has turned out to be a great experience. By the way, I love to sit by the outside fire in the evenings and that is where I got my screen name. Sign me, Living Simply in Small Town America, M

Time Flies

I am just amazed that this is already June 2009. Where does the time go??? I am heading home to Newfoundland to visit in August. Going to make sure that I go and take some photos of the old neighborhood. Was just talking about Martin's Meadow and that rock that we used to play on. It was so much fun to pretend that it was a horse! How in the world did three of us fit on there?

Just loved walking down to Lars for a custard cone. I don't think I could walk back up that hill now...wait...if there was a custard cone involved...who knows? Sorry to hear that Lars is not there any more.

Talk 2 u later. Sign me, Homesick for the Rock, M

I found this when I googled for Lars Fruit Store, thought you might like it:

Going to Fort Amherst

Does anyone remember walking over to Fort Amherst? How about blueberry picking up on the hill? It was a good day out for the bunch of us. One year when we visited St. John's Young Gus Hearn took the kids and I over there. While the kids (teenagers then) were checking out the bunkers, the Scademia was just coming into the harbor.
